Life of a Honey Bee (Grades K-5)

  • Isanti Intermediate School 101 9th Avenue Northeast Isanti, MN, 55040 United States (map)

You will learn about Honey Bee look a likes, what beekeepers do, pollination, honey, and the life cycle and duties. We will play an active game to reinforce what we've learned, try on beekeeping suits and do a honey tasting. We will also plant seeds for you to take home and transfer into the ground once ready. An observation hive (live bees in an enclosure) will also be present so kids can see the bees in action!

Jamie Preisler: I am an 8 year local beekeeper who took a 9 month class and continue to learn each year. I am excited to share the fascinating world of Honey Bees!
