Laurie Allmann is an award-winning environmental writer, essayist and poet (Far from Tame, University of MN Press and An Hour Now, Nodin Press). Her writings explore everything from the behavior of birds to the flights of butterflies, from astronomical events to the movements of salamanders. Join her for an engaging evening of readings and stories featuring her published writings, as well as new works. Allmann is currently serving a year-long term as Artist in Residence for the nonprofit North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area (NWW), which promotes the outstanding nature, cultural, historic, and recreational resources of the St. Croix Watershed and the nationally significant stories of its people.
