Join us at the Cambridge Public Library for a very special literary music program!
Music from the Betsy-Tacy Books by Maud Hart Lovelace
Minnesota singer Maud Hixson and pianist Rick Carlson present a program of music mentioned in the Betsy-Tacy series of books written by Maud Hart Lovelace. Hear classic songs from the 1890s through World War One, such as "In The Good Old Summertime" and "Alexander's Ragtime Band", as well as the stories behind the songs and the author's childhood growing up in Mankato at the turn of the Twentieth Century.
This one-hour musical performance is geared towards adults, but families are welcome.
No registration is necessary. This program is free and open to the public.
This program is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
