Perception - Through the Eyes of a Child

We know trauma can cause phobias, mood swings, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and difficulty concentrating. It may also distort one's self-image, interrupt emotional functioning, and increase sensitivity to threat perception. The effects of trauma are profound. But have you ever given much thought to the important role trauma and perceptions play in a youth's journey though all systems of care? This training will provide participates with a unique opportunity to view and discuss an interview of youth who has spent his whole childhood in the system.
