The School to Prison Nexus for Deaf Youth:
Causation and strategies for disruption for professionals working with deaf people across the lifespan.
TSA is excited to host its 2nd annual statewide training for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Deafblind professional community and for those who work within the DHHDB community, or those who are interested to learn more on the culturally focused research topic of deaf children in schools and the linkage to incarceration. The conference is intended to discuss both the causation of negative outcomes for deaf children when behavior, communication, and emotion are misunderstood; while also sharing effective strategies that help to positively intervene and avert these negative outcomes for deaf children.
