Imagine the hardest conversation you must have in order to help others see reality through a lens made dirty from years of sitting. During this workshop we plan to explore the intersection of power, oppression, psychological framing, and conversations through music regarding anti-racist ideology. We all have different perspectives on what DEIJ is and what we should be doing with these new emerging positions in the work place. Our goal will be simply to provide you with a contextual frame of the components that enable and disable us when attempting to engage in the necessary conversations regarding racist ideology that permeates the professional world. We will explore the use of Hip-hop music to fully immerse us in the paradigm of what racism does to many people here in America and abroad.
