Session 1: Presumptive Transfer: An Overview – RECORDED, Monday, June 24th
This is the first part of a two-part training series designed to equip STRTP, Group Home, Crisis Residential, County Child Welfare, Probation, Behavioral Health and CTF providers with the knowledge and skills to inform conversations with county partners regarding presumptive transfer. This introductory training will assist providers in understanding the historical and recent legislation related to presumptive transfer, including AB1299, AB1051, and AB551. This historical context and overview will equip attendees with the foundational knowledge necessary for approaching and guiding conversations with County Placing Agencies and County Mental Health Plans (MHPs), including implications for residential admissions as well as mental health contracting.
